Dear Boy,
It is a remarkable work of fiction
But I fear it is no doubt too subtle to
Achieve publication today.
(& how does your e-mail grow? heh, heh)
Consider carefully
Consider carefully
Consider carefully
The cowardice of the public, all ages,
Of of your compeers, your parents, your siblings
Your leaders and give them
The contempt they deserve
If only in your heart—reliant
On discreet friends, if you are
So lucky as to have any. If.
But live the day to day.
Love that which is green
And silence and birdsong.
Cherish that! And cherish and protect
That that has freedom as best you may.
Guard, but do not possess.
Do not, Dear Boy, be bitter
But do not lessen your contempt of cowards
As you succeed by necessary means to
Survive, all camouflaged, Dear Girl,
Dear Boy, all camouflaged, all
Camouflaged.
